U10 & U11

U10 & U11

In Germany, the national association of pediatricians recommends the U10 and U11 exams as important preventive care measures. Unfortunately, not all insurances cover the costs yet. Therefore, it's essential to check with your insurance provider to see if these exams are covered.

The U10 exam is recommended between the ages of 7 and 8, and the U11 exam is recommended between the ages of 9 and 10. These exams are vital as they assess the emotional, social, mental, and physical well-being of your child, helping to identify any potential issues or deviations from the norm as early as possible.

During these exams their height and weight will be measured, blood pressure will be checked, urine will be analyzed, and their immunization status will be reviewed. Topics related to school development, motor skills development, and possible behavioral disorders can also be discussed and clarified during these examinations. Furthermore, nutrition, physical activity, leisure activities, and media consumption will be addressed.

The next health check-up will be the J1 exam when your child is between the ages of 12 and 14. Be sure to schedule the appointment well in advance :)
