The U7a visit is a crucial milestone in your child's health journey, and it's an opportunity for you to learn more about your child's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
During this visit, your child's doctor will perform a thorough physical examination, including a vision test, to ensure that your child's growth and development are on track. They will also assess your child's speech development, which is an important milestone at this age. You might have to fill out a questionnaire about language-skills. At the center of this visit lies the early detection of Language delay and how to support the speech developement.
In addition, your child's doctor will provide you with valuable advice on your child's nutrition, physical activity, and accident prevention. They will also discuss the role of media in your child's life and how to manage screen time to ensure that your child's development is not negatively impacted.
Remember, this visit is not only about your child's physical development but also their emotional well-being. Your child's doctor will ask you about your child's behavior and mood, and may provide you with guidance on how to support your child's emotional development.
